Marcia's Dream Note

Dear <$firstname$>,

I am spending the week with a group of Certified Dream Coach Group Leaders in San Francisco, and feel inspired as I hear the amazing work these people are doing with their clients, friends and other communities. There is no doubt in my mind. The human spirit is extraordinary and when we set our mind to something, along with our hearts, miracles occur.

If you are a leader or have a message or a mission, please consider joining us for either the Inspiring Speaker program or the next Dream Coach Certification. Your voice needs to be heard and can change the world for the better. I hope you will allow me the privilege of helping you take your next big step. Isn't it time?

What's Luck Got to Do With It?

We create all kinds of outcomes in our lives. Some are considered positive in nature and referred to as good fortune, such as opportunities, abundance and joyful experiences. Other incidents may be labeled as misfortunes or bad luck. Since “positive” surprises and synchronicity are often referred to as good luck, let's explore, “What does luck have to do with dreams and how can you have more of it?”

First, what is luck? Some speak about it as something good that happens seemingly “out of the blue.” Other's say it's when something occurs by chance or circumstance, often outside of our control. An old adage says, “Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.”

Let's compare luck with intention. When you set an intention, you get extremely clear about what you want to do, or create and who you want to be or become. Then your intention acts like the rudder of a boat steering you toward what you want and away from those things you choose to avoid. Intention provides clarity, focus and direction.

Intention puts you on a path toward synchronicity and providence. It helps you be in the right place at the right time. It turns you into a magnet for meeting great people and attracting amazing opportunities. Good intentions can bring you good fortune.

By doing what I refer to as both the inner and outer work, you can also increase your chance of good luck. Clear your mind of clutter that can distract you from what you truly want or from negative beliefs and doubts that can cause chaos and confusion. Believe in yourself, your dreams and heart's desires. And most importantly, prove that you really do believe, by acting.

As you reach out to others and show the world that you are serious about your dreams, this is where miracles often occur. Say yes to your dreams and allow life to say yes back to you. Usually it's better than we can ever imagine and if that‘s the case, be sure to be grateful for your good luck!

The most successful dreamers in the world are proactive. They are not just waiting for life to hand them opportunity on a silver platter. And good luck is something that you can increase. Simply take action right now. Make a call; send an email; post in the My Dream Circle community. Demonstrate you are serious about steering the course of your life. Put your hand on the rudder and set sail for a place where dreams really do come true. Oh lucky you!

 Dear Marcia,

I have been married for 25 years, and I truly love my husband and appreciate him very much, but what do you do with a spouse that actually does not share your same dreams or goals? Or maybe has extreme fears and is so afraid to take that next step?

I do not expect us to be likeminded in everything, but our dreams of where we live or of that next home to purchase, etc. must be as one.

I am sure there are so many couples out there that are in my position.
                             Sincerely, J

Dear J,

It's often the case in relationships that one person is primarily the dreamer and the other may be a hard-core realist. It helps when we can see each other's perspective but whether or not that is possible, it is essential that you are aligned on your values or that you agree on at least some of the important decisions.

Here's what I know. Negotiation is important in all relationships and the only one I can change, is myself. Learn to ask for what you truly want and do your best to help him “win.”

Hope this helps.

Warmly,
Marcia
