Marcia's Dream NoteCan you imagine 5 days with no food or talking? I spent last week in silence and fasting as a way to hear what’s knocking at my door. If you are interested in learning a process for dropping into your heart and soul, please read below. Two more points, I am currently in the midst of leading our How to Become an Inspiring Speaker program. It is clear to me that along with the Dream Coach certification, this is one of the most essential programs Dream University offers. For that reason I have scheduled another speaker program for next year and our first Dream Coach training on the east coast. If you feel called to speak and touch people’s lives please take a look. Sign up in November for either program and save 10% Since the work you and I are doing is making the world a better place, I hope to meet or reconnect with you face to face soon.Share Your Gifts, Dream Treats/Soul TimeContinuing my Passion Quest, it was time to move out of the maintenance phase and into some in depth Soul Time. Although I profess that you don't have to put your entire life on hold, at this time, I needed to take myself out of my routine so I could truly empty. Why empty? To get quiet and receptive in order to clear that softer voice of our soul. I am just back from a silent retreat, 5 glorious days of total silence. No TV, radio, cell phones, no idle chatter. I went to the beach near Santa Cruz for 5 days and 4 nights. And not only was I in total silence, I also fasted, only drinking water, juice and tea. It was easier than I imagined because it was what I really needed. When I was first introduced to the idea of silence and fasting, I just laughed and thought it was absurd. Now I know better. As my colleague Angeles Arrien says, “There are certain things you cannot do in the fast lane, like deepen and integrate.” Truly taking time out to stop, feel and listen is a profound practice. Even if you can only do it for one day, I whole heartedly recommend it. The one thing I did do was use art supplies to explore feelings, thoughts and ideas. This process, called Active Imagination, entails drawing a symbol using color to capture a feeling and then “interviewing” the symbol through a question and answer process. It requires being willing to hear and trust and is a rich process that can take you beyond what your mind thinks. What did I see and learn?
I hope my process offers you guidance, courage and insight into following your own. Stay tuned. There’s much more to come. My Dream Circle members can join Marcia live on November 6th for a Dream Coach Session. Members also receive 10 information packed e-books.

~ Marcia Wieder Dear Marcia,
I know I have gifts and a message to share with the world, but I am terrified. What can I do?” Thanks, W. Dear W, I heard this often this week at our Inspiring Speaker workshop, even from world class experts. Terror and excitement often feel the same energetically in our body, so it’s a powerful step to name it and hold it differently. My big practice (as you can read in my main article) is to turn toward the fear and hear from it. Give it voice, allow it to express its concerns and issues and then to express my gratitude for it. If it’s part of you, it must serve an important role. Now, if it’s immobilizing you, that won’t work. Seek out a voice or a performance coach or someone who can help you work through this. The fact that you wrote and asked for help, tells me that you are ready. Warmly, Need help? E-mail your questions.
